Tori Kelly 'heartbroken' as she breaks silence after 'scary' days in hospital

Tori Kelly has broken her silence and released her first statement after being rushed to the hospital earlier this week due to blood clots.

The music star was taken to hospital after reportedly fainting whilst out with friends in Los Angeles on July 23. Fans are now rushing to Tori Kelly‘s Instagram to send their well wishes.

Taking to her 4.3 million Instagram followers, the I Was Made For Loving You singer released a handwritten statement, days after being rushed to hospital, which read:

“Hi friends. As you may have heard, I’m dealing with some unexpected health changes. It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers and can’t stop thinking about you.

I’m feeling stronger now and hopeful, but unfortunately, there are still some things to recover. I’m so grateful for the amazing doctors and nurses who have been looking after me.”

She then carried on to say she was “heartbroken” having to cancel all the events she had planned for this week releasing her EP, however, the release date will still go ahead as normal.

Tori then concluded the post by saying: “I love you all so much and I am truly overwhelmed by all the love and care I have received. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Fans send the star well wishes

Since breaking her silence on Instagram, Tori’s fans and celebrity friends rushed to the comments to send the star their well wishes.

“Believing for you to completely recover! In the meantime we will BUMP this EP and hopefully bring you some joy by enjoying these songs!” exclaimed one.

“Praying for your healing Tori,” penned another.

Zara Larson wrote: “Thinking of you!! Get better,” alongside three red heart emojis.

“God is good good good all the time. Love you sis. Can’t wait for the music!!!!!!!!” wrote model Ashley Graham.

Tori’s husband thanks fans

Before Tori broke her silence, her husband, André Murillo gave fans an update via his Instagram story, where he wrote:

“Tori is smiling again and feeling stronger. Not fully out of the woods but we see the sun. Just waiting on a few more answers.

Your love and kindness has been overwhelming. Thank you so much!” he continued.

The pair wed in 2018, after meeting through mutual friends two years prior.
