Sick 'death list' predicts beloved celebrities who will pass away this year
A sick ‘death list’ which predicts which beloved celebrities will pass away in 2024 has been released. The list consists of 50 celebrities, chosen by the so-called ‘Death List committee’ who have a list of ‘rules’ they must follow to add people to the list.
The list has been published on the website since 1987, and every year, users can see how many of the predictions were right. 2023 was a tragic year for celebrity deaths, as we lost the likes of Matthew Perry and Tina Turner. The latter was predicted on the site. Although, the controversial ‘predictions’ have Hollywood fans divided every year.

3 celebrities on the 2024 celebrity death list have tragically passed away already
11 days into 2024, and sadly, three celebrities who have been placed in this year’s prediction list have already passed away.
These include actress Glynis Johns, Political Advisor Derek Draper, and footballer, Franz Beckenbauer.
The list states that the ‘committee’ has rules to follow before adding a name to the list of 50, which says “candidates must be famous enough that their death is confidently expected to be reported by the UK media.”
It also states the ‘candidates’ cannot be famous “solely for the fact they are likely to die imminently and only 25 candidates can reappear from the previous year’s list.”
Big names that appear on the cruel list this year includes ex-US President Jimmy Carter, aged 99, at number 1, movie star Dick Van Dyke, 98, ranking at number 2, and Pope Francis, 87, at number 5.
Western TV and movie star Clint Eastwood, aged 93, (19th) is also mentioned on the list, as well as 73-year-old comedian Julie Walters, ranked in 29th place.

The list ‘predicted’ Queen Elizabeth II’s death
In 2022, 14 out of the 50 predictions sadly passed away, one of these being Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch passed away in September of that year. She was placed at number 12, up from 25 in 2021. In total, she appeared on the list four times.
The listed also ‘predicted’ the death of her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who passed away in April 2021. He was ranked number 1 for 2021, although it was his ninth appearance on the list.
Last year, the list predicted 19 deaths, including music icon Tina Turner, footballer Sir Bobby Charlton, and Mohamed Al-Fayed. Mohamed was the father to Princess Diana‘s boyfriend at the time of her death, Dodi Fayed.
2020 was the year with the most correct predictions, with 20/50 correct. These included actor Kirk Douglas, singer Vera Lynn, and fashion designer, Pierre Cardin.
