Halle Bailey expertly hid her pregnancy baby bump so many times fans lost count
After months of speculation about her pregnancy, actress and singer Halle Bailey and her rapper boyfriend DDG have announced they’ve welcomed a baby boy named Halo.
Two days after announcing it on Instagram DDG, real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., uploaded a video to his YouTube channel titled I’m A Dad Now. In it, he sits in his car and talks for 14 minutes about the pregnancy, birth, and the first month of Halo’s life. He jokes viewers who have been speculating about his girlfriend’s pregnancy should “quit y’all jobs and start looking into detective work.” Until they confirmed the baby boy’s arrival, paparazzi followed them frequently (even to their home, according to DDG). Fans were also flooding Halle’s comments, because she wore baggy clothes, and the press reportedly on it frequently. Let’s take a look at all the times Halle successfully hid the fact she was pregnant.

Halle Bailey’s pregnancy rumors began months ago
The rumors began to swirl about Halle Bailey’s pregnancy in early September after she attended the MTV Video Music Awards. She wore an oversized, flowy orange dress. It was reported she didn’t hug people backstage, and instead shook their hands.
Halle’s oversized fashion continued.
Pictures saw her donning a huge fluffy green coat and black, knee-high boots. The coat practically engulfed the music star and hid her midsection rather well.
Another dress was bright yellow and not too fitting. All of this sent the internet into theorizing overdrive.

Later that month, photos appeared to show Halle’s baby bump. Her stomach appeared to be swollen and she was wearing a dark gray baggy sweater and light gray lounge pants. She also appeared to be makeup-free as she strolled the streets with DDG. TMZ pointed out The Little Mermaid actress had a bandage on her arm (as did her beau) as if she’d had blood taken – something that happens frequently when someone is pregnant for routine tests.
However, twice the Hollywood star has tried to pull the wool over fans’ eyes as she took to social media to share pictures of only her face and – what must have been – older pictures from before her pregnancy began to show.
In the comments, people were hounding the movie actress with their beliefs she was carrying a baby.
One person wrote: “U pregnant sis? [raised hands emoji].”
Another said: “So pretty but not beating the allegations, unfortunately.”
Halle and DDG responded
Even though the celebrity couple didn’t announce Halle Bailey’s pregnancy, they both responded to fan speculation. In a video posted to her Snapchat, Halle hit back at people discussing her “pregnancy nose” and said if people continued to discuss it, there would be “hell to pay.”
“Listen, if I see one more person say something about my nose one more time, it’s going to be hell to pay,” she said.
“You know why? Because I’m Black. I love my nose. What are you concerned about my nose for? Leave me the hell alone.”
Meanwhile, DDG, 26, changed his X (formerly Twitter) bio to state he was a “rich bum”.
He said: “Updated my bio to clear up confusion.”
This came after someone wrote on the platform Halle was “pregnant at the height of her young career by a BUM.”
DDG talks about welcoming his son
In the recent YouTube video, the celebrity became candid about Halle Bailey’s pregnancy and the birth of Halo. He said it had been “a great experience” and was “very, very fun.”
“I seen him come out. I watched the whole thing,” he explained. “I was honestly scared ’cause I was like ‘man I didn’t really wanna see this,’ but I’m like damn at the same time … I don’t plan on having a million kids, maybe down the line maybe one or two more, but like, I’m probably not gonna see this again. So I went down there and I looked.”
He continued: “It was the craziest s*** I ever seen in my life. I have a newfound respect for women. Like as a dude, bro, we really [got] it easy. I couldn’t imagine pushing a baby out my peehole.”
